Q. What Distinguishes Riverview Place from other retirement communities?
A. The wonderful tender loving care Riverview staff give our residents. The assurance to families their loved one will be comfortable and in trusting hands. Our staff live out the mission of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence by taking care of our dear and treasured residents like family.

Q. Can I rent Month-to-month?
A. Yes, Riverview Place requires a written 30 day notice if you choose to move out.

Q. How many apartments do you have at Riverview?
A. Independent Living 94 and Assisted Living 54.

Q. Do you have attached Garages?
A. Yes we have garages approximately 11 x 19 ft. some are heated and give residents extra storage.

Q. Do you have a waiting list?
A. Because of Riverview’s 11 unique floor plans and views of the beautiful courtyard or river, we recommend placement on our waiting lists. A refundable deposit of $500 will secure your place for a specific apartment on the Priority Waiting list. The second choice is our Interested Waiting list, this does not require a deposit.

Q. Are pets Welcome?
A. One small house pet is permitted to live only in designated buildings.

Q. Do I need an appointment to tour the community?
A. We do not require an appointment to come and tour Riverview Place. Our marketing staff is available for tours daily from 8-4:00 p.m. plus evening and weekends by appointment.

Q. Who Operates Riverview Place?
A. Riverview Place was first built in 1958 as the Sacred Heart Convent. Riverview Place comes to life in 1987 as the Retirement Community it is today. The Presentation Sisters are no longer the sponsors of Riverview Place, but they maintain a presence as one of the eleven members of Catholic Health Initiatives who sponsors the facility.

Q. Do you offer discounts while I’m away?
A. Yes. If you are away from home for a season your monthly fees are reduced. Please call for complete details.

Q. Can I only get transportation on certain days?
A. Riverview offers transportation 5 days a week from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. We offer transportation to medical appointments free, a small fee for group outing and personal trips. You may want to leave the driving to us on a winter day and have door to door service or use our transportation on a regular basis.
